End of Life Care - Clinical Event

Organised with BMI Healthcare, we are delighted to have Dr Emma Frampton, Medical Director at Dorothy House, as our guest speaker, and one of their specialist nurses.

The focus of the talk will be on end of life care and how we can work better to provide better care together for our patients. In particular we will be looking at:

  • Common symptom control problems in EOL
  • Delirium/anxiety/terminal agitation/secretions
  • Guidelines for EOL prescribing in patients with renal and hepatic failure
  • Ethical issues including EOL decisions e.g. DNAR status

If you work in a clinical role and look after end of life patients, you are welcome to join us at this free to attend event. Attendance at the event equates to two hours of continuous learning development.

As a GP in Bath with a special interest in palliative care, Dr Ansell joined Medvivo in early 2018 as the organisation won the contract for the Integrated Urgent Care service in Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire.

In addition to her role as Clinical Lead for the BaNES area, Dr Ansell is also the Chair of Medvivo's Sepsis Committee.
