Working with Oysta, a leader in the mobile safety and security market, our Telecare Alarm Monitoring service is now designed to support the delivery of care both at home and in the community. Working together, our partnership has forged a new way to sustain independent living both indoors and outside through the use of mobile technologies.

How It Works

pearl+ mobile deviceAs part of the Mobile Telecare package, customers are connected to instant help and support 24-7 through a simple mobile device. By using the latest GPS technology, the device connects to our Telecare Alarm Monitoring Centre. The tem of highly skilled call advisors can identify a location and decide on the most appropriate course of action, whether that means contacting a friend, family member or carer, or the emergency services, if more serious.

With access to a secure website, the package settings can be customised by family members or carers to ensure the most appropriate help is available from the monitoring centre. Within these settings, safe-zones can be set up to activate notifications should the user leave certain defined areas, or wander too far from an area.

The mobile device, Pearl+, also has a one touch SOS emergency button, a 'falls detector' and an auto answer function to enable the monitoring centre to initiate a conversation.

Target Users

Aiming to provide safer independence everywhere, Mobile Telecare is designed for everyone to enable early intervention, prevention and self-care. Whether living alone, young or old, with physical disability or learning difficulties, this technology helps to encourage mobility and build confidence for independent living, safe in the knowledge of being better connected so that help is on hand when it's most needed.


Jane has complex health needs and a mild learning disability. A Mobile Telecare package with the Oysta service is used to enhance Jane's confidence when she's out and about. The service has also enabled support to just one carer.
